Playtest installation, content packs, faster startup and save backups

Recent work brings the existing launcher closer to a practical playtest installation: original-game setup, installable content packs, versioned runtime updates, faster repeat launches and local save backups. The rebuilt native host reaches the original live menu and exits normally, and a full local first-install preparation test has completed. Windows signing and the replacement hosted setup remain pending; this is a development update, not a new download announcement.

More reliable launches, sharper mech rendering and new editing tools

Today’s work connected campaign lighting repairs, expanded the main Remaster to all 18 mech models, improved depth precision, and addressed several playtesting regressions. Gemini also contributed campaign environment work and early map-editing tools. Original gameplay remains in control, and the work is still undergoing gameplay validation.

Photo and replay repairs, weapon lighting and the announcement trailer

Work repaired photo-mode crashes, screenshot colors, frozen texture state and surface-memory pressure, refined mech attachments, and added experimental lighting from weapon effects. Corrected in-game camera captures now feature in the published announcement trailer and the website's new Mechs and Gameplay sections. The work preserves original gameplay while modern rendering and tools continue through testing.
